The John Curtin School of Medical Research of The Australian National University holds a unique position in the hearts and minds of many Australians as the National Medical Research School.

Our Public Affairs Manager, Dr Madeleine Nicol, spends a lot of time meeting with members of the local community - speaking at meetings of clubs and community groups, and to high school and college students throughout Canberra and the region. This has led to a much wider appreciation of the work of our scientists and researchers. Many groups have taken advantage of our offer to tour the JCSMR, visiting our laboratories and speaking with our researchers as they demonstrate their experimental design and equipment.

The Curtin Circle is made up of people who have informed us directly, or through their legal representative, that they have included the JCSMR as a beneficiary in their Will.

Memorial Giving

When you give to The The John Curtin School of Medical Research, your gift, no matter how large or small is used solely for research purposes. Many members of the local, national and international community have found that a donation to research in the name of a loved family member or friend provides a lasting memorial, one which helps our researchers investigate causes and cures of many diseases. Tax deductible donations can be earmarked for research in particular areas at JCSMR.
